Beautiful depression is a series that talks to mental health in isolation of other influences and factors, because like many of us suffering from mental health, the feeling of isolation and loneliness almost becomes friends and a comfort, more than an enemy. I decided on the series beautiful depression,    because of my own personal story. I experienced tremendous trauma a little over 2 years ago, with the passing of my beloved Mama, and as a result became friends with my demons, instead of getting the necessary help.   WELCOME TO MY HOME. THE HOUSE OF CAELTHORNE. Today marked a very special day for myself and The House Of Caelthorne. We are live!  OK, we've been "live" for a while - which helps a lot in terms of updated news and insights into The House of Caelthorne, myself, Caelthorne Art and The Caelthorne Learning Institute. Today wasn't just the normal run-of-the-mil footage that we captured and a couple of rehearsed lines uttered - it's an insight into the name Caelthorne, what it stands for.   1. What inspired you to create the  Beautiful Depression  series, and what message do you hope to convey? I've been diagnosed with  severe depression and anxiety , (as was my beloved Mother) and have been on treatment now, for almost 6 years. I decided to dedicate a  series  to not just raise  awareness about mental health illness , but also to tell a story. One of hope, and hopefully, have the art pieces speak holistically to those who view and acquire them, on a universal level - with relative subject matters and ignite a sense of  self love and belonging. 2. How does this series differ from your previous works in terms of style, technique, or emotional depth?  I previously almost always worked with  monochrome colors , so as to lean on the viewer for their own interpretation of emotion - whatever the subject matter may have been.  Beautiful Depression  however is  bold.
